"Rescuing God's Children"

Freeing the floodgates of revelation.
Requiring hard work and preparation.

Bending my knees in supplication.
Resulting in actions of inspiration.

Serving my God without hesitation.
Assisting His blessings of reparation.

Forgiving his sins with purification.
Lifting his heart through restoration.

Praying for guidance, anticipation!
Receiving the Spirit, a confirmation!

Illuminating his soul by sanctification.
Reuniting him with heaven in exaltation.

Rescuing His children by proclamation.
Rejoicing with God, my jubilation!

POET'S COMMENTS

All revelation and spiritual promptings lead to one objective; fulfilling God's purposes. God's purpose is to "bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man." Preceding this declaration, the Eternal Father states, "this is my work and my glory." (Moses 1:39) Our Omnipotent Father's core desire is to have His children return home to Him. In this, His love is perfectly manifested.

Our role, as heirs to His kingdom, is to assist in that endeavor. We do this by focusing our lives on others, under His direction. The Spirit becomes the compass by which we navigate to this end.

This poem "Rescuing God's Children" eloquently expresses the process. We prepare to save others by preparing ourselves. We cleanse ourselves through repentance. The inner vessel is then pure. We are now ready to receive promptings. The inspiration arrives, we embrace it, and without question or debate, quickly follow its counsel.

God now allows us to be His healing hands as we deliver blessings that repair a broken soul. The recipient, our brother, feels the Spirit and then begins to pray, and do. Soon he enters the
covenants that purify and sanctify. The end fulfills God's purpose as we all rejoice together.

"And now, if your joy will be great with one soul that you have brought unto me into the kingdom of my Father, how great will be your joy if you should bring many souls unto me!" (D&C 18:16)
