"Our Father's Love"

Oh that man! Could only know!
The depth! The care! The love for his soul!

Of a Father so merciful! So powerful! So meek!
Yet only discovered! By the humble that seek!

Not a sparrow unnoticed! Nor a teardrop unseen!
A promise of hope! To fulfill righteous dreams!

A faith turned to knowledge! A Savior was born!
An oath by covenant! Eternal bonds now sworn!

An allegiance! A pledge! Of honor, to obey!
The holy commandments! His passageway!

Most precious of all! His Beloved! He would give!
That after this life! With Him we could live!

POET'S COMMENTS

"Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows." (Luke 12: 6-7)

Sometimes a man may perceive himself as rather small when compared to the universe in which he finds himself. True, man is just a decimal or fraction of an infinite number of creations. The error in his thinking is not realizing the value of that creation. An ounce of gold or a rare diamond appear small to the eye, but the value in our society is far greater than the size of the object.

Of all God's creations, his children are of the most value. The other creations around them are merely for their benefit. In this context, nothing means more to God than His children. So much so, that He would offer the ultimate sacrifice, His own beloved first born to suffer, bleed, and die for them.

This whole earthly experience and plan, is about His love for us. It is so that we can return to Him better and greater than when we were with Him in the preexistence. His Son told us and showed us how we could do this. This time on earth is all about our eternal progression. It is about a Father's love and joy over His children's successes. Know with certainty, you are of great worth, you are His child, and He wants you back by His side.
